Privacy Policy

NutritionTracker Pro ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.

By using NutritionTracker Pro you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Account information

When you create an account we collect your email address and an optional display name.

Health & nutrition data

To provide the core service we store information you enter directly:

• Food logs — names, calories, macronutrients (protein, carbs, fat), meal type, and date
• Daily calorie and macro targets
• Body measurements — weight, waist, chest, arms, hips (only if you log them)
• Workout logs — workout name, duration, and optional notes
• Water intake logs
• Personal records for exercises

Food photos & barcode scans

When you use the food scanner, photos you capture or upload are stored in our secure file storage (Supabase) and sent to our AI service to identify food items. Images are stored only as long as needed for the session and are not used to train AI models.

Coach conversations

Messages you send to Coach Shauna (our AI nutrition coach) and the responses you receive are stored so conversation history is preserved across sessions. Message content is sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses (see Third-Party Services below).

Payment information

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details. We store only your Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, and subscription status (e.g. active, trialing, canceled).

Device & technical data

If you opt in to push notifications we store a device push token. We also store your timezone (used to correctly display daily logs) and basic usage information such as when you last logged in.

• Provide the service — display your nutrition logs, progress, and coaching conversations
• Personalize AI coaching — your food logs and goals are shared with Coach Shauna to give relevant advice
• Send transactional emails — password resets and account confirmation emails
• Process payments — manage your subscription through Stripe
• Send push notifications — reminders and updates, only if you opt in
• Improve the service — aggregate, anonymized usage data may be used to identify bugs and improve features. We do not sell individual data.

We use the following third-party services to operate NutritionTracker Pro. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account your data is soft-deleted immediately (no longer accessible in the app) and permanently purged from our systems within 30 days.

Billing event records (required for financial compliance) may be retained for up to 7 years as required by law, but contain no health data — only subscription status and payment amounts.

To request immediate deletion before the 30-day window, contact us at the address below.

• Access — view all data you have logged directly in the app
• Delete — delete your account at any time from your Profile page; all health data is removed within 30 days
• Correct — edit any logged entry directly in the app
• Export — contact us to request a copy of your data in a portable format
• Opt out of notifications — disable push notifications at any time in your device settings

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom you may also have rights under GDPR including the right to restrict processing and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

NutritionTracker Pro is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and access controls that limit which parts of our system can read your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes we will notify you by email or through a notice in the app. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
